I love the opportunities God gives me on a weekly basis with middle and high school students. I take very seriously my responsibility. The following are my desires for the youth ministry at FBC.

1. To know the Word of God well enough to teach my students about the things of God. A basic knowledge of the Word of God is a must for an effective ministry. (II Tim. 2:15)

2. To reach new kids for Christ. One of my goals is to have a good outreach program. Evangelism needs to be built into every youth program. This also provides a good opportunity to teach the youth how to witness to the unsaved. (Acts 1:8)

3. To equip the students to study the Bible so they can grow in God. One of my goals is to teach the youth how to study the Bible. The importance of knowing how to study the Bible cannot be under estimated. (II Tim. 3:16-17)

4. To equip the youth to do the work of God. The purpose of all ministry is to glorify God. We do this by serving God through various different ways. My goal is to teach the youth how to serve God, and then provide them opportunities to do so. (Eph. 4:11-12)
